Except they didn't. Bummer!
It was the "way" they lost that was so gut wrenching for me. So many dropped passes, fumbles, missed field goals and just so many other missed opportunities. This game should have been over at halftime...especially when you consider S.D. was in Patriot territory almost the entire half...and...than they went into a prevent defense before the half and allowed the Patriots to drive down the field. I am not arguing that S.D. deserved to win, because they didn't but the Patriots are lucky, very lucky, to get this one...and...I don't think they will be so lucky next week....
