Heading off for the Hills

Well, we’re now literally a couple of hours away from another camping adventure. We actually won’t get to our first “base camp” until Monday night since we are stopping to visit some friends and my mom along the way. I figured I would wait until Monday night to set up shop in an effort to avoid all the holiday crazies who have already taken over all of the campgrounds from the west to east coast. I love camping but I don’t enjoy hang in out with the week-end warrior types who make their annual pilgrimage on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day. I prefer my peace and quiet and I figure they will be heading home just about the time I arrive on late Monday afternoon. If this sounds a bit snobbish, it is…..
