USC is loaded with so many great athletes on both side of the ball. Their current team reminds me alot of the great Miami and Florida State teams which have been so dominant up until the last couple of years...and...this year is predicted to be USC's best recruiting class, ever!...Scary thought...Non USC fans better hope and pray Carroll gets "the itch" and bolts for the NFL. I hope he stays for years to come but suspect his competitive nature may get the best of him...and...when and if that day comes it will be a sad day for the USC nation....Bilbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904580918080106725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10455024.post-1168006137525785712007-01-05T06:08:00.000-08:002007-01-05T06:08:00.000-08:00I think Lloyd Carr got out coached (as he usually ...I think Lloyd Carr got out coached (as he usually does in big games). too conservative and somehow not energizing as a presence. I loved watching Pete Carroll bounce around the side-lines. And that crushing defeat just made me even more aware of the successfull game UCLA mounted against the Trojans (you knew I'd mention it!!!).

JulieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10455024.post-1167797881169211552007-01-02T20:18:00.000-08:002007-01-02T20:18:00.000-08:00History does have a way of repeating itself... som...History does have a way of repeating itself... sometimes. My sympathies go out to you and the rest of the your Michigan comrades. It's been a tough year on the sports front. Three good teams, the Pistons, Tigers, and Wolverines who all had great seasons but went down in flames at the end. I guess in the end it's the nature of the sports beast...One winner which means everyone else is a loser in the end...but...I guess we keep coming back to ride the beast because it's alot of fun along the way even if the beast bucks us in the end....Bilbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12904580918080106725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10455024.post-1167770144280002382007-01-02T12:35:00.000-08:002007-01-02T12:35:00.000-08:00I guess I will just take comfort in knowing that s...I guess I will just take comfort in knowing that some traditions never die... like the Wolverines heading into the Rose Bowl, highly ranked, with something to be proved and much to be gained through winning, marching in full of fire and pride, only to have all the air spill out of the balloon when all is said and done.

Congratulations, Men of Troy! The humbled 'Reens are heading back into their burrows for the winter now. (And "an American band" is hitting the road, headin' towards Bakersfield... comin' to your town, they'll help you party down, they're an American band!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
